School's out for the first term holidays. However, not everyone is having a holiday. As the holidays is just one week, some UPSR students are staying back in school for extra classes. This year also sees changes to PT3 and SPM. The SPM has been brought forward and shortened to make sure that students living in flood prone areas will be able to sit for the exams comfortably before the rainy season. As for PT3, this is the final year for centralized examinations. There has been a lot of changes to the syllabus and exam format too for this year. For example Sejarah and Geografi are now part written exam and part project based. It used to be fully project based. This year also sees the introduction of Rekabentuk dan Teknologi and Asas Sains Komputer papers. These too will be part written and part project based. This week, parents on our platform discussed the following issues:
- What brand of stationery is better quality? - Do I need to send my child to Chinese enrichment class if I plan to send them to Chinese school?
That's it for this week.
Happy Holidays everyone!
