The Chinese New Year (CNY) public holidays are on 5th and 6th of February this year in 2019. School holidays start and end later making it a total of 9 days off for students.
Here's a look at what we've been talking about the week before CNY. Firstly, there were a couple of questions asked by parents preparing to register their children for primary school starting March 2019 this year. As usual, we will start a thread to connect parents with one another so they can discuss issues they encounter during online registration for Standard One.
Meanwhile, here are other topics that were discussed this week.
- Poll! With no exams for tahap 1 students (P1 - P3) how many parents agree to simple test/assessment to grade child's progress? - How to get the younger sibling to follow instructions?
What's new from KPM (Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia)
As next week is a school holiday, there will be less discussion, so we will have our next summary on the Friday after.
Happy Chinese New Year to those who celebrate it and Happy Holidays to everyone else.
