In the blink of an eye, the one week school holidays is almost over and soon students, teachers, parents will be preparing for end of the year exams as well as public examinations, the UPSR, PT3, SPM and STPM. The rest of the students will be having exams too with the exception of students in Tahap 1 of primary school ie those from Standard one to Standard Three.

While most took the time off for a short holiday, students facing public school examinations soon have been busy studying during the week long holidays. Below are some of the exam dates, according to the "takwim peperiksaan 2019" by the KPM (Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia) UPSR written exams: 4-5 & 10-12 September 2019

PT3 written exams: 30 September - 8 October 2019

SPM written exams: 14 - 17 October 2019 (Fasa 1) and 5 - 27 November 2019 (Fasa 2) * This year exams have been scheduled to end earlier in anticipation of the rain and possible floods in the East Coast of Malaysia to prevent disruption

In addition, students sitting for the PT3 exams should look out for the following oral examination dates BM Speaking Test: 18 - 30 August English Speaking Test: 2 - 13 September

BM Listening Test: 23 September

English Listening Test: 24 September Even if your child is not taking any of these exams this year, its good to make a mental note as the exams are usually about the same time every year. Good luck to all students preparing for the exams.
